Hi,
Some months back I successfully interfaced Power BI with the Zendesk database in which the database was pushed to Power BI on a daily basis and stored as a dataset called "Zendesk". At the time I was just experimenting with this and didn't actually create any reports or dashboards with that data. Now I'm ready to get down to business and start using that dataset but I can't for the life of me get the Zendesk dataset created again. I can get the Zendesk App created and the data seems to be pushed to Power BI but it's not being stored as a dataset under my normal Workspace. I can't see any way to create any reports from the data that is created by the Zendesk App.
My question is this. How do I create a Zendesk dataset on PowerBI so that I can generate reports and dashboards using the data that gets pushed there on a daily basis? Something seems to have changed from when I originally set this up until today. I have spent a few hours trying to get this to work and a colleague of mine also spent a couple hours with no luck.
Here are the steps I took to create the Zendesk App.
1) From the cloud version of Power BI I click on the "Get Data" link in the lower left of the screen.
2) From there I choose "Services".
3) I choose the Zendesk App and log in when prompted.
4) Power BI links with Zendesk and an instance of data is pushed to PowerBI and a default dashboard it created under the "Apps" tab on the left of the Power BI interface.
5) No dataset is created
Has anyone else tried this? I know I was able to generate a dataset from the Zendesk app in the past but this doesn't seem to be possible any more.
Please help.
Chuck
